Hello, I am a student at Hockerill.

I have been studying CT for 3 years, and during that time I have learnt lots of things such as coding on scratch, creating Lego robots and programming them, PC systems, and python.

My first assessment

my first assessment I did in computing was to list the different websites and information we use in computing and to explain how to use it.

Scratch project

one of my favorite projects was the scratch project.

we were asked to create our own game using scratch. I made a maze game with 3 levels, and designed 3 characters to move around the maze using the arrow keys.

This was a very fun project, as we got to make a robot, and program it to move in patterns and detect obstacles with a sensor on the front.

We made the robot out of legos, and used a program (shown on right) called EV3 program, to code a program for the robot.

PC systems

For this task, we had to research all the different parts of a pc setup, including a pc and monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, speakers, and a broadband connection, and calculate the costs to be fit the price range. when I was done, I also did the extension of adding more parts to fit another price range.

Python

Python is a coding program that we used to code questions or quizzes for the user.

once we finish making it and checking it works, we would write up on a document, what we did and how it works.
